Masa Torah opens in September 2027 in Ra'anana with a founding cohort of fifteen young men from North American public high schools. Guys with little or no Jewish education who have decided, mostly on their own, that they want to find out what this is. Half the year is a beit midrash built from the ground up for first-time learners. Half is the country itself.
The team behind it has run a year in Israel before. What is new is the audience, and the audience is the reason this matters: the young men most likely to be the last Jewish link in their family line are the ones with the fewest doors open to them.
Open one door, early enough, and the arithmetic of a family changes permanently.
The case, briefly

- Jewish teens now begin a year in Israel each year, and the figure is climbing back past where it stood before October 2023.
- The growth
- is coming from teens with minimal Jewish background. Attendance at established Orthodox programs is roughly flat. The movement is entirely in the segment nobody built for.

- Jewish culture clubs meet inside North American public high schools every week. The pipeline already exists. What it lacks is a destination.
